In John D'Emilio's "Captilism and Gay Identity" argues that gays have not always existed and is a product of history. I do not believe this because even if the identity of homosexuality did not exist the acts of it definitely did. Homosexuality is a product of both biological and environmental factors but it can be weighted towards one factor then the other. For example in the movie "Alexander" it was encouraged for men to sleep with younger men but they were no considered homosexuals because it was normal for men to act that way. Now if men sleep with men they are called homosexuals no matter what because homosexuality is defined as having sexual acts with the same sex.

Since advertisers have no interest in the poor, they are not reflected in the media. We know so much about the rich and famous that it becomes a problem for many who seek to emulate hem, but we know very little about the lifestyles of the poor and desperate.
