I read an excerpt from The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano. You have been through so much in your life. I'm very happy to tell you that most of the things you went through are no longer allowed. A country called the United States of America allows every race in the world to come together and live together. Its actually like that all over the world. Slavery is not allowed in the places you were once a slave at anymore. Everyone is equal, even women. Blacks in this world have gone through a lot. After slavery, even though the blacks were free, it was still horrible. Many couldn't get jobs to support there family and most moved to northern regions were people we more open-minded.
Not so long ago there was a lot of racism. Blacks could drink from the same water fountain as a white person, even shop in the same stores. Gradually things got better to reach the standards that there are today. Blacks, as......
