What would it be like to be one of the most famous people in all of England? In the novel A Proud Taste For Scarlet and Miniver by E.L. Konigsburg Eleanor of Aquitaine finely demonstrates what is like be famous and how a person can grow and change from extraordinary expenses. Eleanor was the very rich daughter of the ruler of Aquitaine and when her father, William died Eleanor was sent to marry the rich and powerful king Louis VIII. However, this marriage brought trouble to the King Louis's family. Eleanor's mother-in-law Adelaide did not like her for several reasons, which caused her to leave Paris. After this there were more problems with Louis trying to please Eleanor and this caused him to make some bad decisions which resulted in him getting excommunicated from the church.
