Lady Lazarus
As a student I have read many poems through my school years, but I have three poems that are my favorite there are "Lady Lazarus" by Sylvia Plath. "Stopping by the woods on a snowy evening" by Robert Frost and "Driving to town late to mail a letter" by Robert Bly. These poems are my favorite because I can relate in some aspects on a personal level in "Lady Lazarus"," Stopping by the woods on a snowy evening" and "Driving to town to mail a letter" reminds of nature.
Sylvia Plath is one of my favorite female authors because he uses symbolism, imagery and theme to capture the reader's minds. The poem "Lady Lazarus" is a well-written poem using many symbolisms and also it is a confessional poem. I also enjoyed reading poems that have symbolism; it draws me in as a reader. "Lady Lazarus" is about Plath personal life; her expression of (dying) committing suicide in which later in life she accomplished. I enjoyed this poem because Plath writes about death not in a depressive or sad manner......
