Take me out to the ball game; take me out to the crowd
“You gotta be a man to play baseball for a living, but you gotta have a lot of little boy in you, too.” This quote by Roy Campanella, a baseball hall of fame inductee, shows that baseball is one of the world’s most treasured sports. Baseball today has been called “America’s Favorite Pastime”. Ever since the early 1800’s, a little sport once called townball, has evolved to being one of the most spectacular scenes ever known to man. Millions of people, children and old, enjoy going to cheer for their favorite team. Baseball is not just a sport, it’s an event where everyone and anyone can break away from the realities of the real world, and enter into a zone of excitement and exhilaration.
