"The Yellow Wallpaper" wirtten by Charlotte Perkins Gilman is a psychologically; creepy story that shows the ignorance of men in the 1800's. This story was about a woman who was married to a physician. His name is John, and they just had a baby together. His wife isn't doing well after having the baby. However, in this time period, postpartom depression wasn't known. So, John thinks she's fine. He believes she should stay at this colonial mansion for the summer to get "better." His wife being alone and secluded from everyone only makes her worse. His wife is the narrator of the story.
In the beginning of the story, I thought the house was haunted. I thought a ghost haunted the yellow wallpaper. I thought it was really alive, but you learn that there was no ghost.
