Bluetooth Technology
In 1994 a team of researchers led by Sven Matisson and Jap Haartsen at a small college in Lund, Sweden, were investigating the concept of developing a wireless correlation between an earpiece and a phone. As the development progressed, the team realized that such a technology had the potential to be used for considerably more than simply for wireless connectivity of an earpiece and a phone connection.
