The Call Of The Wild

Throughout one's life it is possible to change significantly, even if it is that of a life of an animal. The Call of the Wild by Jack London is about a four-year old Saint Bernard and Scottish Shepard mixed dog named Buck. This story follows Buck through his journey through the Klondike. More importantly it is a nature related story about the survival of the fittest in nature. Buck experiences changes in himself as he adapts to the cold, harsh land where he is forced to tred in the snow, simply to help a group of men find shiny gold. He proves that he is fit and can endure the law of the club, the law of the fang, and the laws of nature. The environment
made the yound dog adapt and survive life in a new way. Buck seems to almost transform into a different animal by the end of the book.

Buck had had numerous owners and he learned things from each of them that made him stronger and smarter. Judge Miller taught Buck affection and approval for being a good hunting dog, a good......
