Macbeth

Throughout the play Macbeth, Macbeth has some different characteristics. At some times, he was smart and showed lots of courage. However, he was also ridiculous and ignorant. During some parts of the play, Macbeth was friendly and had a lot of ambition. Yet, he seems to use other people to make the important decisions for him. All of these things contribute to his death and the close of the play.

When Shakespeare's play begins, Macbeth is very heroic. He becomes very eager to become the king and in the opening scenes is very friendly with the present king Duncan. They use the quote that says, "If chance will have me king, why, chance may crown me". Because of his wanting to be king, he changed from nice to evil. All of his good nature vanished. As soon as Duncan arrived at Inverness, Macbeth started plotting Duncan's murder. Lady Macbeth thought of Macbeth as a coward at times, like when he started feeling guilty of the murder.
