The story called That Was Then, This Is Now was very interesting for me. The most important characters of this story are Bryon, Mark, Charlie, M&M, and Cathy. In this story Bryon is the narrator, Cathy is Bryon's girlfriend, Charlie is the owner of a bar, and M&M is Cathy's brother. At the beginning of this story Mark was Bryon's best buddy, and he loved him like a brother and at the end of the story Bryon said that he didn't care about Mark anymore. Mark's parents killed each other in a fight that they had. Since that happened Mark had lived in Bryon's house. Bryon's mother loved Mark like a son. When Mark and Bryon were younger they were always in fights, and playing poker. Both of them had a very good relationship, but then they began to grow apart. Early in the story, Bryon only cares about himself, but later Bryon realizes that he cares about everything. Bryon began dating Cathy and he had less time to spend with Mark. Mark was a little bit jealous......
