“She Hate Me”
When one thinks of Spike Lee they think of controversial movies dealing with race, gender differences, and sex. “She Hate Me” is no different than what is expected from this angry film maker. Spike Lee steps out to take on many issues when creating this movie for the public. The audience by the end of the movie forgets what the main focus of the picture was; could it be corporate corruption, lesbian rights, whistle blowing, or just plain sex. Due to the unreal premise of the movie, Lee’s random tangents within the movie, and soft ending, the potential of this movie to be a hit was lost.
Jack Armstrong (Anthony Mackie) is a successful VP for a drug producing firm called Progeia. However, in the wake of a disaster involving the FDA denying Progeia's application to sell an AIDS vaccination, Jack stumbles into a room where papers are being shredded.
