Growth Of Political Parites
Two hundred years ago, in the days of the American government, political
parties did not exist. Most of the political leaders felt that if there were political
parties the people of America would be divided into warring groups, undermine
our national unity, and weaken public support for the new Constitution. Yet our
officials did everything to stop the formations of them they could not stop politcal
parties. Many things led to the rise of political parties such as, different views
on taxes, different lifestyles, and different beliefs.
At first there were to different political parties, federalists and democratic
republicans. Thomas Jefferson became leader for the democratic republicans.
The opposing party were the federalist, there party leader was Alexander
Hamilton. In document one Jefferson talks about hamilton being a monarchist,
and in support of monarchy. There are many of these instances where each
