Ransom, by Lois Duncan is a very enchanting and thrilling book. A popular cheerleader name Marianne, a jock and all around nice guy Glenn, his little geeky brother Bruce, a new girl Jesse, and an orphan rebel Dexter are put in a scary situation that could definitely change their lives. They were on the bus when they realized it seemed a little strange. "What are you looking at?" the girl asked next to him. "The driver," Dexter told her shortly. "He's different. He's not the guy that usually drives us." After everyone else was dropped off and the driver kept going, they realized it then and there they were being kidnapped! Terrified at the site of a gun, these high schoolers don't know what to do. They learn ransom money is involved and all hope someone will save them, before they will risk themselves. These men and woman are serious about the kidnapping and will do almost anything for the precious money, even if it involves death. Will they try to escape or will they wait for help?......
