Reasons Not to Have Plastic Surgery
"In America, most people spend more time finding the right pair of shoes than they do finding a cosmetic surgeon," according to Doctor Rod Rohrich. Plastic surgery is serious and just as with any operation, surgical procedures carry risks. With the increasing popularity of plastic surgery combined with reality shows, it could be easy for the general public to overlook the serious nature of elective cosmetic surgical procedures. Even at the highest level of care, every surgery has risks as well as benefits. The three main reasons for not having plastic surgery are death, excessive use of plastic surgery, and difficulty in finding certified doctors.
The first reason a person should not have plastic surgery is the high risk of death occurring during surgery. Death can occur many different ways during surgery and postoperatively.
