Ethics Scenarios

Duty-based (Deontological):

1. We have established over and over that communication is the key to a successful learning team. Donna and the team would have to communicate better with Michael. Establishing rules is not really communicating. It has always been my experience that when you present rules to someone who is already on the outside of a group that they will resist even more. The group needs to find out why Michael is acting like this and maybe try to appeal to reasonable side to get Michael to take the assignment more seriously. Also is Michael still pulling his weight on the team? Why is Donna so offended by Michael's actions?

2. I can identify with Stephanie because I also have a problem with people telling lies. I find that it is always easier to work with the truth than tell lies. I have been in similar situations before and did not lie for the other person. I made it a point to distance myself from the situation. I would however voice my opinion to the group.......
