Genetics are important in our life, but not to the point where DNA screening should become a fundamental of life. Future read outs to would-be parents would cause discrimination. People here, in the present, are discriminated against for little petty things. Imagine if everyone knew every problem, every illness, and every trait that a child would have. Future read outs would be the foundation of discrimination, in the future. Discrimination is the treatment or consideration based on class or category rather than individual merit. Although the movie was fictional Vincent was denied of all of his dreams. He was denied the dreams he had, before he had time to fully develop them, which was harsh and cruel. The problem was he was only 99% sure to have a heart problem somewhere in life.
