The Civil War

The Civil War was a war fought between Northern United States, The Union, and the Southern United States known as the Confederates. This is one war that many historians and war experts argue over on being a just war. In this case, a just war can be one of only being last resort, or when all other ways of solving a problem can not be used. When looking at this we must ask ourselves if the problem was just for being fought as well. What is to benefit from war? What will have to be risked? What other ways are there to be used? And most importantly, was war worth all that was risked and all that was destroyed? These are questions that have to be answered to figure out one simple yet not so unadorned, if a war is just or not. Historians write that causes of the civil war were debates over slavery.
