Executive Summary
In this report I have looked at the personal qualities which would be looked at when appointing a Project manager and their essential skills and desirable skills explaining the rationale behind each of the qualities.
Project management is concerned with the overall planning and co-ordination of a project from inception to completion aimed at meeting the organisation requirements and ensuring completion on time, within cost and to required quality standards.
All the projects share one common characteristic – the projection of ideas and activities into new endeavors. The ever-present element of risk and uncertainty means that the events and tasks leading to completion can never be foretold with absolute accuracy.
