INTRODUCTION
An attempt to recontextualize the concept and practice of ‘innovation' in
pre-modern Indian art.

Demystification achieves a kind of hegemony, replacing the richness and variety of cultural worlds with a monologue proclaiming that power, exhausting, monotonous power, is all there is."
