I think that self esteem reflects a lot on how you look whether you are thin, have good looks, and show skin. Society makes us think that we have to be a certain way to get somewhere in life. The "American beauty" has pounded that into our head to make us feel like we are not good enough to go out in public if we are not the ideal beauty. There are many different kinds of people in the world that may be just as beautiful as a model, but you might not see that. Physical beauty is only skin deep, but true beauty is what is in the inside.
Society has created standards that make us think that we are not good enough. The public has a preference of how tall or short and how skinny or heavy you are. We even have preferences on skin, hair, and eye color. They are always trying to sell us ways to change ourselves.
