David And Rita

There Rita sat in the waiting room of the doctor’s office waiting for him to return

with the word of how David was doing. As the doctor came through the door, Rita could

tell by the look on his face that the cancer wasn’t getting any better. He came and sat

down on the table in front of her and with hesitance in his voice he told Rita the news.

David has a 20% chance of living the way it looks now he said; Rita felt her heart drop.

He asked if she wanted to tell David the news because it might be better coming from

her, although she was hesitant, she knew it was best that it came from her.


Before David was diagnosed with cancer, he thought he was immune. He figured

as long as he ate right and exercised he would never get it. A short time before this a

friend of his was diagnosed with cancer, so if any of his family or friends ever got a
