The In Crowd
It all started when my mum lost her job at the printing company, we were pretty strapped for cash at the time because of my old man running away from us. We didn't have anybody else really just me and my mum facing the world taking each day one by one, we never knew what tomorrow would bring. We lived in a nice little flat in the centre of Staines it wasn't much but it was ours and that is all that matters. It was a one bed roomed apartment and I loved sharing a room with my mum because it makes me feel safe as if I was locked in a cell with the person I loved most.
For me and my mum, who by the way is called May like the month, she resembles that month so well because she is as radiant as the new flowers that are just blossoming in the new spring fall. Everyday of our life back then was the same until 1997 when my younger brother died, that year was the hardest because it was then that my dad left.
