Matatagpuan sa bayan ng Baclayon sa Bohol, ang simbahan ng La Purisima Concepcion de la Virgen Maria ay tinatayang isa sa mga pinakalumang simbahan sa Pilipinas. Ang mga Heswita ang mga original na bumuo ng simbahan, ngunit noong ika-19 na siglo ay tinapos ng mga Agustinong Recoletos ang naitayo nang simbahan, sa pamamagitan ng pagdadagdag dito ng isang modernong patsada o harapan, at ng mga batong imprastraktura na ngayo’y pumapaligid na rito.
Ang Baclayon ang unang misyon na itinatag ng mga Heswita sa rehiyon. Itinalaga sa Baclayon sina Juan de Torres at Gabriel Sanchez, mga Kastilang misyonero, bilang tugon sa kahilingan ng ina ni Pedro de Gamboa na nagngangalang Doña Catalina de Bolaños.
