Look at figure 3.3 on page 75 in the text book. What do you see? A beautiful woman, or an old woman? What you see is your perception. All perception is, is the mental image that we see in the world. Everyones' mental image happens to be different depending on the natural or exspences of each person. There are two key elements that influence our perception, attention and organization.

Attention, effects our perception by What grabs us. Our minds must unconsciously filtering out what is going on around us. We heard sounds, see colors, shapes, and smell smells that make us aware of our perception. Sit there and lisen to the room for a second. What do you hear? Prohaps the buzzing of the lights, Someone coughing, sneezing, or just breathing. The way the sound makes us feel is our perception of that sound. Let try something else like look at someones' cloths. Notice the bright or dark colors that the person is wearing. Also notice......
