Desirable behavior
A person while driving a car finds an old man waiting to cross the road but no one is stopping the car as there is no pedestal line nearby. The person stops the car and allowed the old man to cross the road. The old man thanks the driver by raising his hand. The person (who was driving the car) receives the old man's wishes as an appreciation.
Situation - old man waiting to cross road.
Behavior - allowing the old man to cross the road by stopping car. Consequence – thanks by raising hand by the old man
Probable long term effects – may stop the car and allow the pedestrians
There is possibility that the person will behave in similar situation in the same manner. Appreciation by the old man works as positive enforcement to the person. This situation we can say that there is a desirable behavior by the individual. Also there is a probable long term effects in the behavior of that person in similar situations
