Philosophy of Education

Education is a life long process whereby we gain an understanding in all areas of our life and of our world. We are constantly confirming information that we already know and learning new information everyday to add to our pot of knowledge. In my opinion, the purpose of education is to facilitate learning, gain a greater understanding of everything we encounter in life, and broaden the mind.
While learning formally or informally, students should be serious about their education. They should know that the importance of why we must learn is revealed to us later in life when we are faced with applying or using the information we have gained. They should be as a sponge and absorb and as much knowledge and skills as they can. They must be involved, active participants when learning. It is important for students to feel like they are in charge of themselves and their education because ultimately, they are responsible for what they attain. The ideal......
